Happy birthday, Occupy (1 year ago in p3)

Yes, it's had its problems -- although many critics failed to appreciate that most of those problems weren't bugs, they were features designed to prevent bigger problems.

But Occupy has accomplished something terribly important that even the billions unleashed by Citizens United couldn't completely overwhelm.

This point was made pellucidly clear on a late-January evening this year.

And now comes Brother Pierce to mark the occasion. He notes:
There are too many powerful people in this country who don't see the simple fact that Occupy is by far the most polite response they're likely to see to a general consensus that the system is being rigged to produce another Gilded Age plutocracy.
