One of the amazing variety TV shows of a
couple of generations ago – and it showed in the afternoon, which
is even more amazing in retrospect – was the Mike Douglas show,
syndicated out of Philadelphia. Starting on this date in 1972,
Douglas gave over a week of co-hosting duties to John and Yoko
Lennon, which led to a lot of one-of-a-kind moments.
Today, we're going to pick just one of
those one-of-a-kind moments: The Clever Beatle and one of his
inspirations.
