Quote of the day: Being versus doing

Here's Charlie Pierce on the ontological difference, Mitt Romney style:
Being a dork and being a phony are hardly mutually exclusive, which is another lesson we can all take from the agonizingly slow ascent of Willard Romney, possible presidential nominee. Being a dork is who he is. Being a fake is his full-time job.
By the way: Bowing to the inevitible, I've renamed “The Politics Blog” link in my blogroll. It's now just listed, more plainly and honestly, as “Charles Pierce.”
