Drinking Liberally Thursday Night at Madison's Grill

Join the Portland Drinking Liberally chapter at our regular (new) meeting site, Madison's Grill, at 11th and Madison (map), tonight, December 6th, at 7pm.

(DL meets the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month.)

This week we have a special treat for those of you who show up around 7pm: DL regular Michael Hagmeier will be playing his didjeridu with flutist Elise Blatchford at Madison's. In his most recent email on the subject, Michael said, "I might even play a little bit of drum." Don't miss it!

Also, if your schedule permits, stop by and say hello to DL friend and State Treasurer candidate Ben Westlund, who'll be at the Lucky Lab Brewpub at 9th and Hawthorne--only two blocks from Madison's--from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

Meanwhile, only 409 days left until George Bush begins moving his Mad Magazine collection out of the West Wing and into the George W Bush Presidential Library at Texas A&M.

Thanks to all who turned out for the Screening Liberally outing to see "What Would Jesus Buy?" last week. You can read about it here. If you'd like to be on our ad-hoc Screening Liberally email list, drop me a note and let me know.

See you tonight at Madison's. (And remember: DL encourages everyone to drink, and vote, responsibly.)
