Drinking Liberally, 7pm tonight at Madison's Grill

Join the Portland DL chapter tonight at our usual place: Madison's Grill, SE 11th and Madison.

(DL meets the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month.)

In addition to the usual high-quality political chat, there'll be news of the first meeting this week of Screening Liberally.

That means it's only 445 days until Junior has to go do whatever it is he'll do once he's stopped being the Decider. That's actually an interesting question: What will Bush do to keep busy when he finally leaves office? Go back to running businesses into the ground on someone else's money again? Supervise his Presidential Library and Thinky Place? Become the least popular Commissioner of Baseball in the history of the game? Worthy goals all, of course--yet they must seem like such a step down for the man God personally told to invade Iraq--now that's a line on the old resume.

See you this tonight at Madison's.

(And remember: DL encourages everyone to drink, and vote, responsibly.)
