Countdown

Sometime today, the clock will roll over.

If you're the proud owner of a Backwards Bush keychain, you should be advised that it's counting down the hours until 12:01am January 20th, 2009--not until noon, Eastern time, on that day, when whoever replaces Dubya takes the oath of office.

That means that when your keychain turns over to zeros, it's time to pop the champagne, not to turn on C-SPAN. Just a little public-service clarification.

Of course, there remains the question: If Bush has 999 more days in which to do what he will to this country, will there be much left for the next President (assuming succession hasn't yet been banned by presidential fiat) to govern?
