Quote of the day: Distrust but verify

You may have heard over the weekend that our partners in peace the Israelis have been tapping Secretary of State Kerry's phone during the recent cease-fire negotiations with Hamas.

What you may not have heard is that there were actually two countries spying on Kerry. The other one hasn't been named. Not officially. Not yet.

But here's a hint:
One of the greatest mistakes of paranoids in our time is their utter failure to understand that government, and our government in particular, far from being an ineluctable monolith, is a battlefield in which countless bitter factions contend, some of them probably even in the public interest.
That's Yastreblyansky, in an aside within his self-described "contrarian," "paranoid," and "baroque" theory about who that second intelligence service probably is. You'll be shocked.

Well, no, you probably won't.
