Saturday afternoon tunes: “Oh, I get it. You don't want to be cute anymore.”

As the story goes, that was Bob Dylan's response after after Paul McCartney came to Dylan's London hotel room to play Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, hot off the press.

SPLHCB was released on this day, forty-seven-six [oops] years ago, and it remains the gold standard for the list of ten albums you'd want to have if you were stranded on a desert island.

One measure of a great album is the number of impressive cover versions it leads to.
