Saturday morning (barely!) tunes: Stronger than dirt

According to the YouTube source for this clip:
Smothers Bros. Comedy Hour Performance
Taped: December 6th, 1968. Aired: December 15th
On Saxophone: Curtis Amy
String & Horn sections: Nelson Riddle Orchestra
If anyone's wondering about Robbie's black eye:
1) He got into a fight with Jim
2) A car accident
3) A guy went to punch Jim for being a "hippie." Jim ducked, nailed Robbie right in the eye.
All of these have been said by band members.

And, of course, if the stars are going to fall from the sky, they're going to fall “for you and me,” not “for you and I,” no matter how badly you needed the rhyme. (Tune in next week as p3 goes after Eric Clapton for "Lay Down, Sally.")
