The last good reason to hang on to basic cable

Behold, the 24-hour Twilight Zone New Year's Eve Marathon on the SciFi Channel, now underway.

The programmers on the SciFi Channel have a system: In the first several hours, they salt a few of the classics in among the others, and as the marathon continues, you get more and more of the legendry episodes: "To Serve Man," "Nightmare at 30,000 feet," "The Obsolete Man," and "A Simple Game of Pool," "Eye of the Beholder"--and the all-time favorite of many Zoners, "Time Enough at Last" (above).

Ah, bliss.
