And now let me tease you with some news about what's coming up in two weeks at our September 4th meeting:
That's the night of the McCain acceptance speech at the Republican Convention. To celebrate this auspicious event--or at least to give it the thorough mocking it deserves--Portland DL will be joining with DL chapters and house parties all across America in a little thing we like to call "McCain on the Rocks. Celebrate the official launch of the Third Bush Candidacy--in addition to the usual fine conversation, food and drinks, there will be haiku and limerick contests, trivia contests, John McCain Acceptance Speech Bingo, McCain fact-check guides, and more!
