Sunday morning toons: Special pseudo-event edition

Daryl Cagle has the roundup again. There were a several toons on the Democratic pseudo-debate, but the pickings are better among those artists who took aim at the Mukasey pseudo-testimony.

p3 Picks of the Week: Mike Keefe, Patrick Chappatte, and Cameron Cardow.

p3 Palme d'Or goes to David Horsey for asking the single most important question of the next 10 weeks: Who elected these guys?

And here's an Ann Telnaes two-fer. I think her graphic take on Dick Cheney is absolutely dead-on.

Meanwhile, although President Bush famously said that God told him to invade Iraq, Opus wonders if it was just dyslexia. (Salon Premium; non-subscribers will have to sit through some ads.)

Finally, the Special p3 Bonus Toon: Jesse Springer brings up an interesting point: Tens of millions of dollars in political advertising doesn’t seem to have Oregonians clamoring to return their ballots by Tuesday, does it?

Makes you wonder if the point of a lot of that money was to suppress turnout in the first place.
