Oops! It's been a weird week, and Thursday sort of snuck up on me.

The Portland chapter of Drinking Liberally (their motto: "Promoting Democracy, One Pint at a Time") meets tonight at its regular place, the Lucky Labrador Brew Pub, SE 9th and Hawthorne.

Here's a fun fact:

There are over 430 employees at the White House (not counting Bush and Cheney). Given that Bush has 524 more days at most until he has to leave office, that means that if one White House staffer per day follows Karl Rove out the door (are you listening, Tony Snow?), there'll still be over 100 people left to keep Junior company on his last day.
