Where every meteorologist is issued a thesaurus the first day on the job

I suppose I shouldn't complain; we just had a stretch of about 10 days of nice sunny weather here. But the seven-day forecast in today's Oregonian reads as follows:

Thursday: A shower
Friday: Showers
Saturday: Rain at times
Sunday: Rain possible
Monday: Showers
Tuesday: A shower
Wednesday: Rain possible

For some reason I'm reminded of my favorite James Thurber cartoon: "South Bend, Indiana, in Winter." (Surprisingly, it's available nowhere online that I can find. So you'll just have to imagine, although what you imagine won't be as funny.)
