The Drinking Liberally meeting you've waited 12 years for!

The Portland chapter of Drinking Liberally (their motto: "Promoting Democracy, One Pint at a Time") meets tonight at its regular meeting place, the Lucky Labrador Brew Pub, SE 9th and Hawthorne.

(DL meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month.)

If you're not yet a member--or if it's been a while since you've been to a DL get-together--this is the meeting to catch. It might be at least 2 years before you see this many liberals/progressives/Democrats this happy again.

Bring your favorite victory story. Bring your best theories about what happens next. Be prepared to lift a glass and toast your favorite campaign, cause, whatever.

By the way--don't let that whole "not yet a member" thing put you off. All you have to do to join is get on our email list and show up. You don't even have to sing a bar of "Alice's Restaurant," although no one will stop you if you do. And if you come find me tomorrow night, I can even set you up with a fabulous three-color Drinking Liberally lapel button.

(And remember: DL encourages everyone to drink, and vote, responsibly.)
