A couple of Portland groups--Mercy Corps (scroll down to the postscript) and Pink Martini (click on the radio icon if you haven't heard them yet)--are coming together to support long-term relief and rebuilding efforts in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
The benefit performance will be Thursday, September 29th. Details here.
[Update: Here's another important reason I prefer Mercy Corps to the American Red Cross these days. My problems with ARC began 9 years ago.]
