Oddly enough, Peter Stuyvesant, the ousted governor of New Amsterdam -- who did not make it there, as it turned out -- was the character that Walter Huston was playing in “Knickerbocker Holiday,” mentioned briefly in last week's Saturday Morning Tunes. Isn't it amazing when things just come together like that?
