And where were you, 36 years ago today?

(Updated below.)

I was at the Purdue Memorial Union, just across the street from Neil Armstrong's old fraternity house, watching Walter Cronkite get choked up about this.

p.s. If anyone knows of a link to a video clip of a jubilant (and sleep-deprived) Cronkite repeating "Oh, boy . . . oh, boy . . . " when the Eagle landed, please let me know and I'll update with it. Thanks.

I was in the US Army Reserves 2 week training camp at Sharp Army Depot, Stockton, Ca watching the landing on a black and white TV set in the recreation room, virtually alone. No one else was that interested! Roy V

Hey, Roy--

Wow. Hard to believe no one there was that interested--perhaps because the Apollo Project was run by the Navy and Marine show-offs? For me--raised on Robert Heinlein and Jonny Quest--it was unforgettable.
