Bob Geiger's got 'em. Rove's resignation hit the weekly news cycle in the sweet spot, so there's plenty of material today
p3 Picks of the Week: Tony Auth, Justin Bilicki, Jeff Danziger, Mike Luckovich.
Opus ponders the ways in which religious salvation can be a booger. Plus, all hail the return of Lola Granola! (Salon Premium; nonsubscribers will have to sit through some ads.)
Bonus p3 Toon Advanced Toon Physics News: After writing a daily strip in which the characters have aged approximately in real time, and have occasionally faced very un-comic-page-like life events like coming out, family violence, and Alzheimer's, the creator of "For Better or For Worse" is scaling back.
Old strips will begin occasionally appearing among the new, sort of like leftover night at the dorm. And in a particularly interesting move, the strip will place itself back outside the laws of physics as we currently understand them. The strip's events-occur-in-real-time gimmick (initiated 25 years before Jack Bauer made it famous) will be suspended. Like "Peanuts," the characters in FBoFW will no longer age.
