UOIF: Uh-oh, it's Friday

The things you can miss during the Bush presidency, if you're not paying close attention on a Friday evening.

Here are are stories with one common thread: the Bushies caused the announcement to be delayed until a Friday, so it would attract minimum press coverage over the weekend:
  1. Well, yeah, American urine did actually hit copies of the Koran at Guantanimo. (Timed for release on Friday, June 3.)

  2. And yes, okay--the May recruitment figures for the Army weren't even close to their targets. (Delayed for release until Friday, June 10.)

  3. And, fine, sure--still more deadly weapons are missing in Iraq. (Timed for release on Friday, June 3.)

  4. And here's the wrap-up, from Shakespeare's Sister.

Hard to remember Bush ran on a promise to return accountability to the White House, isn't it?

Is there any trick, any gimmick, any subterfuge he and his handlers won't use to avoid being caught in the same room with the truth?
